The Federal Reserve makes its mistakes, but we’re only sure in retrospect that they were mistakes. They’re professionals. In contrast, Congress makes blunders in plain sight that everyone can see as they happen. Professionals tend to know a thing or two, but politics is busted—ask anyone who has worked in a large company. Thus the most effective government is one that is fully professionalized, or in other words, it is a dictatorship. And did you know that I am a professional dictator?
