Student: Philosophy is what you can't convince people of. It's where there aren't firm arguments.
Smart: It's a try. Are vaccine skeptics philosophers?
Student: Hmm. Maybe it's pre-science, where there's no systematic way to investigate it yet.
Smart: Isn't it as vague as most human concepts? Philosophy is what philosophers do.
