Companies have two ways to stealth-raise prices: One is to reduce the amount in the package and leave the price the same. After a few rounds of that, people may notice, so they boldly advertise "25% more!" and raise the price. I guess hemlines go like that too. But in any case, consider chicken eggs. With modern management all the ingredients are there, so the recipe must be the same.
