Where I live, a lot of Trump voters, proud in victory, have left their lawn signs out. A slogan like TRUMP LOW PRICES | KAMALA HIGH PRICES encapsulates him perfectly. It chooses the foreign-sounding (racist) and devaluing first name (sexist), and promises success (self-aggrandizing) with a lie (charlatan). It activates stereotypes while telling a story. That’s how poetry works.
