2 January 2024 - doom time

When you're too busy with important things to work out a serious opinion on blah blah--which is almost always--you whip one up based on authority figures and general feelings. Ask an American about the state of the nation: One set of authority figures says that Trump is a danger to democracy, and another says that democracy is a danger to Trump. All agree we are in peril. The economy is part of the state of the nation, so obviously it is trash. QED
