Why do we invent so many ways to prepare food? Isn't it because we benefit from a varied diet, and so we fake it by preparing the same ingredients (usually modified corn starch, high fructose corn syrup, and some acronyms) in different ways? You'd remember more celebrity gossip if you hadn't displaced it with the names of pasta shapes. For your sins, you may be sentenced to an eternity of sorting macarons from macaroons.
