Which in Russia do you most want to not be, Putin who is in trouble or
Prigozhin who runs the Wagner mercenaries and is increasingly able to
threaten Putin?
clue:
Running a private army that could threaten the autocrat is commonly
fatal. Whether the private army is useful to the autocrat is a secondary
consideration. But Putin is considered to be soft to those who have
demonstrated long-term loyalty, so maybe Prigozhin can get away with it.
