How often do you smell a white owl coming for you and narrowly escape
being eaten? Never? That is why white owls are one of the few predators
that attack skunks. How many predators are willing to attack Donald
Trump?

Criminal investigations of Trump are coming across as hesitant. If you
don't enforce the law even in such an extreme case, then you're building
a norm that presidents have lasting impunity. That is worse than the
short-term risk of backlash.
