How to Accept Enemy Propaganda at Face Value

One side goes for a visit to talk about stuff. The other puts on a massive show of intimidating force, in the process shaving a slice from international law to add to the salami sandwich. Are we supposed to believe that talking about stuff is a mistake?

It's strange that the American establishment believes in peace through deterrence, but a segment of it doesn't seem to notice when it itself is being deterred--from peaceful action.
