The U.S. flag is red, white, and blue in that order: Red for the original violence and blood in its founding, white for the coverup when red crops up again, and blue for the blue streak we swear about it. The Russian flag is white because they start with the coverup, then blue for the everyday blue streak, then red at the foundation.
