The desire to control information stems from the belief that other people are stupid. They are stupid; you can tell because you want to control their information. The situation is symmetrical, the same for everyone. Those falsely in favor of free speech want your input information to be whatever they say, and those truly in favor want to control it to be more diverse. How long before we reach the only stable state, the one where everyone shuts up?
