Let’s unravel Chairman Xi’s speech on Taiwan. Taiwan is part of China, of course. And Chinese will not fight Chinese, that sounds good. The next part requires the One China Somehow-or-Other Principle and the knowledge that the Chinese Communist Revolution did not end in 1949: He does not rule out force to reunify the unrevolved island. Logically, it follows that anyone on Taiwan who resists reunification is not Chinese. Well, of course they aren’t! Chinese are not crazy!
