Trade war to fight China’s shenanigans? Trump can’t do otherwise, but I know a simpler plan: Don’t see sharp power as vicious, see it as gauche. You’re too polite to say so out loud, of course, but behind a hand you can whisper that these Chinese, they... don’t quite have it. A culture can stand against disrespect, but against veiled disdain it must adapt.
