If you attend a U.S. military college, you will be taught, thoroughly and accurately with convincing theory and concrete case studies, exactly how and why democracy works better than corrupt and opaque authoritarianism. You will not be taught how to create democracy; there is no institutionalized theory of state building. What better recipe for freedom than a goal with no path?
