Crime rates lower than any time since 1970... increasing prison populations but with the start of an attempt to back out... militarization of the police... withdrawal from foreign obligations... tighter control of the borders. The picture makes sense as a whole under only one hypothesis: The elites are carefully preparing an attempt to seize absolute power. Expect the move as soon as there’s enough space in the jails for dissenters.
