Chimpanzees have gender roles and ethnicity and social status. You can’t cover up millions of years of evolution with a few decades of fairness; experiments find that approximately 100% of people conform to cultural stereotypes unconsciously in details like reaction time to conforming and nonconforming stimuli, regardless of whether they admit it or believe it. Fairness is unnatural and can only be faked, and a working civilization fundamentally requires hypocrisy.
