When I am king of the world, anyone who tries to explain the difference between benzene, benzine, and benzyne will be sent to the work bank to be given a menial job such as copy-editing the CRC. By accepting absurd chemistry terminology they have demonstrated unfitness for any responsible role in my orderly society. Other chemists will be allowed to keep their jobs if they commit to using words that can be told apart.
