As we cast ourselves into the next new Monday of the next new month, we pause to gaze with eyes as pure as moonlit dew into the lustrous crossing strands, the intricate orchestration of time—and there it is: The spire, the eternal flame, the mammoth everlasting landmark abiding in the marrow of our days, the native monument bound only to the warm tendrils of the pulsating jellyfish of our hearts, the one and true, the only and immanent arbitrary anniversary!
