I judge the size of a computer screen by a simple rule: If I can see the edge, it’s not big enough. Rules in the same style should inform alternative energy policy. Sunburn tells us that we’re not paying enough attention to solar energy, and every volcanic eruption means that we’re neglecting geothermal power.
