As the reports trickle down our collective back like meltwater,
telling of iceberg towing proponents rioting in the streets of
London, experts rush to give contradictory explanations. But
who cares, they don’t count! Iceberg towing has been proposed
regularly at least since the 19th century, often with
calculations showing what a stupendous idea it is, yet no one
has funded any serious attempt. The disrespect that the poor
’bergers are so directly fighting against is, in the final
analysis, the simple result of this funding gap.
