I constantly find myself wishing I were a little sharper, because the mistakes I catch myself making are ones I’d avoid then. But how would that help? I’d notice a new set of slightly trickier mistakes. And if I were a lot smarter, no doubt I could see a lot more mistakes. I ought to wish I were as dull as a brick, so that I wouldn’t waste so much time overthinking it.
