1. For a computer to have even a chance of being secure, its software must be up to date at all times, which means that software updates must be automatic.
2. Auto-updating is powerful. Central sources provide the software for almost all computers... including tablets and phones and car navigation systems and so on.
3. Who controls the auto-updaters controls the world.
