3 December 2010 - owe the bank

< yesterday -- tomorrow >

China: If you owe the bank a million dollars, you’re in trouble. But if you owe the bank a billion dollars—
America: —the bank’s in trouble. I know that one.
China: And if you owe the bank a trillion dollars, the whole country is in trouble.
America: Yeah, that’s pretty much how it went down.
China: So. We will not repeat your mistakes.
America: OK, OK already. Now, getting back to the question at hand—
China: We will not repeat your mistakes. North Korea is too big to fail.
America: So, uh, maybe some regulatory oversight is in order?
China: You still don’t understand. Orders and oversights are exactly the problem.
