The U.S. smoking rate is stuck at around 20%, or in other words, we outvote them four to one so why don’t we crush them with democracy? Liberty does not extend to harming others, and there is no safe exposure level to secondhand tobacco smoke, so to protect the public, smoke should be treated like radioactivity. Smokers must live in sealed houses with filtered air and undergo decontamination before leaving home. And most importantly, for their own safety the children of smokers must be sent to nonsmoking foster families.
Are you going to vote with me, or do I have to go to 4chan?
Cigarette smoke is both a larger and a more controllable hazard than ionizing radiation, so purely by the logic of risk management, it should be more strictly regulated.
4chan, a recommended website to avoid, is in the news today for organizing illegal network attacks against overzealous copyright enforcers.
