A recent study links sitting down with dying. To be precise, it claims that saying you spend a lot of time sitting is statistically correlated with kicking the bucket, a striking finding both since death is traditionally associated with lying down and since buckets are more easily kicked when standing. Of course, the correlation could come about because people who are about to die don’t feel like standing around any more, but why take chances? You can avoid a scientifically proven risk by telling everyone that you never sit.
