22 March 2010 - Eyjafjallajokull

< yesterday -- tomorrow >

From Eyjafjallajokull to Thiruvananthapuram, more and more of the world’s explosive events occur in places with long names. Will no one think of the children? How will they right the world’s wrongs if, merely because of its long name, nobody teaches them about The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret? Ample new names are freely available, easy to say in many languages, from “Aba” to “Zuzuzuzu”. To bypass local red tape, I’m sending my petition directly to the International Astronomical Union. Who’s with me?

clue:

Eyjafjallajokull in Iceland is the site of a volcanic eruption. Thiruvananthapuram in India is the destination of a flight on which a bomb was found.

The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret is a British sitcom that I don’t actually know anything about. It seemed to fit... since it also starts with an I.

give me a clue so sweet and true
