A. There are two kinds of people, Splitters who see many precise categories in the world, and Lumpers who see large categories with perhaps some internal distinctions. Actually there are a lot of other kinds too, like Mixers who—hey, I’m just getting started!

B. Everybody’s a Lumper; Splitters are just a minor variant.
