2 December 2009 - overpopulation

< yesterday -- tomorrow >

To solve overpopulation requires a world government. A nation’s power varies with its size: Too feeble? More people! It’s no accident that the only nation with working population control is China, long-time number one. A nation whose population begins to drop usually panics that it will disappear and flails around with tax incentives. And remember, if you support me for king of the world then I won’t consider you excess population yet.

clue:

A nation’s power varies more directly with its total wealth, but constant moderate population growth helps add to that.

Projections have India passing China in the next decades. But India’s population growth has not been moderate; it’s arguably harming the nation (let alone the people).

take oh take this clue away
