The pen is mightier than the sword.

A. Because somebody has to write the orders that say who gets killed.
B. But only in the long run, and by then we’re all dead, because we’ve been run through.
C. That’s vacuous. You might say that war can end the world and bad ideas can’t, but war is only a kind of bad idea.
