Screens are sold by their diagonal length and cameras have more and muddier megapixels because everybody wants to advertise the biggest numbers. They’re only exhorting, not extorting, but it hardly makes a difference if people fall for it. I propose that sales taxes be rescinded. Instead, every product should be taxed according to its largest advertised specification—catching two nerds with one stone.
