Why aren’t we all as smart as Google? Here’s the business model: First, steal stuff that the owners are failing to make money on. Grab as much as you can. Then when they call you on it, offer to sell it for them. Everybody benefits—if the State Department had diplomatic skills like that, we could disband the army.

Google is making money from the publishers’ inability to get organized, and the publishers are glad about it. Why work for a living?
