Careless Abstraction Is Its Own Reward

If originality is impossible, if a new idea is simply a set of old ideas reorganized, then all human knowledge, from postmodernism to string theory, was already latent in the first human being to wake up in Africa. On the other hand, if new ideas do exist, then where do they come from? Albuquerque? Clearly, new ideas are needed on the subject.
