18 August 2005 - safety in numbers

< yesterday -- tomorrow >

We Apologize For Any Convenience

There is no safety in banding together (it only makes us a bigger target) but there is safety in numbers—with a silent “b”. Anybody who isn’t already numb from TV violence will soon be numbed by ID checks and searches, whether random or targeted based on what is euphemistically termed “intelligence”. We’ll lose track of the time between official blunders and official admissions, and in this way, we will all earn years beyond our wisdom—and remember, any dissimulation is purely coincidental.
