19 April 2001 - crackpots

The facts are disturbing. Scientists don’t believe in twenty foot tall giants, unless they are giant reptiles. Does that sound plausible to you? Yet no fossil Barbies are known, so we cannot conclude that science is funded by the toy companies. It is telling that, to date, the only observers to note such glaring discrepancies in the fabric of socially-constructed reality are crackpots.

I’m hopeful that it will take nothing more than a revitalized back-to-basics movement to eliminate from the next generation the clear-sighted crackpots.
