23 March 2001 - mall normality

< yesterday -- tomorrow >

I’m abnormal; I made a mistake. I went to the mall to look for a watch. Walking through, I found I could not watch the mall look; the ambiance of determined stylishness, the corporate mind control methodology, the triumph of glitz and kitsch, the crowds that loved it all, repelled me. I was compelled to leave for a discount store. I’m abnormal, but now I know, and I won’t make that mistake again.
